Too much feeling and thinking

Existence is heavy and the past won’t leave me alone Weariness works up through my skin from my bones
My friends say I look fine
And snicker behind my back
I don’t think I’ll weather another
Passive aggressive attack
Fashion conscious
Hiding the sores
I don’t like the look behind their eyes
Anymore
Everything happens for a reason they say
But the weight of the world is having its way
Existence is heavy - the past is like a stone
Weariness works up from somewhere
down in my bones
Piled high my creations
But who will see my work
Who will hear my symphony?
I get no returns
Though I knock on that door
Endless waves lapping on my Island shore
Deluged with taxes, a Noah’s kind of rain
Up against the ropes you’ve put around me
Surrounded by liars punchdrunk with pain
Filled up with opioids and lines of cocaine
Corporate ladders swimming upstream
Suits and mad hatters and living the dream I’m
Tired of living Tired of dying
These are a few of my least favorite things
